“REC Renewable Energy Qazaqstan“ and its mother company “SVEVIND Energy GmbH” together felt honoured to be invited by the Kazakh government to present their plans for extra large-scale renewable energy and green hydrogen facilities in Kazakhstan. On May 18th and 19th, the plans were presented to representatives of the office to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the KazTransGas company, led by the deputy minister for foreign affairs Mr. Almas Aidarowich Aidarov as well as to Kazakh Invest, led by the chairmen of the board Mr. Meirzhan Yussupov.
SVEVIND highlighted the outstanding opportunities to combine the tremendous renewable energy resources in Kazakhstan, the enthusiasm of the Kazakh people and the long experience of SVEVIND to produce sustainable, green hydrogen provided by extra large-scale wind and solar PV facilities at very competitive costs. As a result, the ministries, Kazakh Invest and SVEVIND agreed to progress the discussions on developing and realising the projects suitable to transform the Republic of Kazakhstan becoming a global leader in carbon-free, high-value products.
